'Ohhhhi! For those of you who don't knowww..I'm Ricky Rodriguez! And it's totallyy cool if you don't know me, I'm sure you'll get to learn moree than enough by time this is all over. I mean, alottabit more people know me now than they did this time last year, which is a totalll plus! But also like..it ain't just me I needa introduce. I'm only as good as the people I surround myself with..'
The sun was shining brightly overhead and a warmth enough to prove winter was all but forgotten at this point. Perfect weather for a poolside barbecue. But you couldn't just have one like that for no reason. Luckily, there was a reason!
The pair of Big Ass Bobby and Alessa Holloway had been away for a couple months now, having been off on their Honeymoon. Bobby stood on one side of Ricky, wearing a pair of solid black swimming shorts and a white tank top. Next to Bobby stood Alessa, leaned up against him and wearing a black and purple, spiral designed bikini. Her black hair was pulled up into a ponytail and she had a content smile on her face.
'First off, you got my brother Bobby and his new bride, Alessa. Bobby was adopted by my folks a couple years before I was born. See, they had been tryin soo hard to have a baby but they couldn't. Bobby was a neighborhood kid who was always just..around. Nobody knew where he lived or even who his folks were but he was a fixture in the old place. Eventually, they took him in as their own son. Fast forward a couple years and they finally had a child of their own, me. Ever since then, Bobby's always been there, lookin after me, makin sure I'm stayin on the right track. He's always been like my guardian, y'know?
And Alessa, I've known Alessa just bout as long as I've known Bobby, to be honest. We were together for a lilbit there but it didn't really work. There's alooottabit there and it's not really the..easiest..story to tell so let's just stick a pin in that for now. Seriously tho, I don't think I coulda made it as far as I have in all of this without their support. To see them together, as happy as they are, it makes me sooo fuckin far beyond happy.'
The trio caught up with everything that had been happening between Ricky's blossoming wrestling career and the island getaway they had for a Honeymoon. Even as they talked, Ricky's attention had drifted off towards the pool. Not just the pool but a pair of lounge chairs near the edge of it. In one of them, Ashlynn Cassidy laid face down, decked out in a rather revealing two piece solid pink bikini.
Sitting in the chair, across from her, was Marina Flores. She was in the process of rubbing in some sunscreen on the back half of Ashlynn, making sure to make sure she got it good, like the great friend she was. Marina wore a bikini similar to the one Ash wore, except hers was black and red. She looked over to see Ricky watching, giving him a grin.
'That soo fuckin far beyond sexy one layin down, that's Ash, my girlfriend. Not even gonna lie, I still feel giddy every time I call'er that. When I got picked up by Fight, I met her and she was really cool, we hung with the same people, had similar hobbies and whatnot. But towards the end of this last year, we were both goin through all of that. Ash and her guy. My injury. And we were just..there for each other through it. Got closer and closer and now I can honestly say she's the love of my life.
And that fine ass woman sittin next to her is bosslady. When I was a part of the BRKTHRU brand in Zion Wrestlin, Marina was the General Manager. And now, with the relaunch of FCW, she's back in that General Manager role and still bosslady. But more than that, she's the best tag partner a guy could ask for. The three of us hang out and go out and it's always sucha great time like that, y'know?'
Bobby's elbow connecting with Ricky's side totally jerked the man from his intrusive thoughts. Shaking his head to collect himself, Ricky turned his head to check on the various things cooking on top of that grill. Bobby let out a hearty laugh before speaking.
Big Ass Bobby: 'Daaaamn, little brother got it like that now?'
His question had Ricky laughing, shaking his head slowly. Digging into the pocket of the bright green and purple shorts he wore, Ricky pulled out that dab pen. He took a long drag off of it, offering it to Bobby and Alessa, both of which politely declined.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'You know damn well I don't talk bout it like that. Tho, I will say I'm the luckiest guy in the whole ass world. Ain't even no question to that.'
Alessa Holloway: 'Your professional life better be doing just as good. You can't be slacking. Can't start slowing down just because you're..occupied.'
The mere suggestion brought about by her question had Ricky scoffing, shaking his head slowly.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'No way, never slowin down. Hell, if anythin I'm in it more now than I have been. They're def hard to keep up with sometimes but I hold up pretty damn well if I do say so myself.'
Ricky nodded his head firmly as those words, spoken in that as a matter of factly tone, came rolling free.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'I mean sure shit didn't go my way at Bigbosslady's Retirement Show..or at Destiny..or at uhh..'
Alessa stood there, her hands resting on her waist as she looked at Ricky expectantly. Bringing his hand up, he rubbed at the back of his head, something he usually does when nervous or having trouble thinking of something to say.
Alessa Holloway: 'Ricky..when's the last time you won a match?'
Big Ass Bobby: 'Alessa.'
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Nah, it's okayy. I mean, she's not even wrong tho. Like..I really can't remember the last match I won and..that's fucked.'
There was a noticeable tone of disappointment in Ricky's voice as he shook his head slowly. After a moment, he picked his head back up, his eyes focusing on Alessa.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'But that's okay. There's still so much bout all of this that I don't know. I'm learnin, every single time I go out there, win or lose. Sure, I might not always come out on top but I'm puttin myself out there. I'm gettin seen. And the opportunities are comin in, I just gotta get to where I can make the most of'em, y'know?'
Determination showed in the young man's face, matching the tone of his voice.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'I'll figure it out..I will.'
Alessa Holloway: 'If not, you could always come home and get things going again.'
Ricky's eyes widened noticeably as he quickly looked over towards where Ashlynn and Marina were. Hoping Alessa's words weren't as loud as they felt, he sighed softly and turned back to face Alessa.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Keep your voice down. I haven't..said nothin bout that to them yet. And seriously Alessa..how many times do we gotta have this talk? I'm..not..down. I want no part of that life. I don't know how much more clear I can be..I really don't. I invited y'all over to celebrate y'all..and to have time with the most important people in my life, together, y'know? Not to talk bout that shit again and again.'
Alessa Holloway: 'No..you're right. I'm sorry for wanting the best for you.'
Alessa laughed a bit as Ricky looked none too amused with the whole situation. He reached for his pen, taking a long drag off of it. Turning around, Ricky looked across at those two, hopefully distracting himself while a warm smile growing out across his face as he saw them basking in the light and warmth of the sun.
Alessa Holloway: 'I really do appreciate this, by the way. I know things aren't always the best with us..because of that..but I just want what's best for you and this..all of this..isn't it, Ricky. You're better than this. You're too good to be just wasting your time.'
Big Ass Bobby: 'Alessa.'
Alessa Holloway: 'No, Bobby, he needs to hear this.'
Ricky's shoulders slumped, a soft sigh slipping free. Ashlynn looked over to notice the change in Ricky's body language. Getting up from her seat, she made her way over to where the three of them were. She wrapped her arms around him from behind, hugging him comfortably.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'How's everything coming along?'
Alessa Holloway: 'Everything's good, just giving Ricky some advice.'
Ashlynn's brow lowered slightly as she tilted her head, locking eyes with Alessa.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'Maybe you should chill, it didn't look like he was really receptive to it.'
Alessa Holloway: 'Sometimes you have to tell people things they don't want to hear. I just want him to realize his potential and not piss it away by wasting his time.
Alessa made it a point to look Ashlynn up and down. She was quick to move around from behind Ricky, standing in front of him, her eyes never once looking away from Alessa.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'And sometimes you have to let people be happy and figure things out for themselves. I'll never understand why people have to try and run someone else's life.'
Alessa Holloway: 'I appreciate the sentiment but you really have no idea what you're talking about.'
Ashlynn was clearly growing more and more irritated with the situation and made absolutely no attempt to hide it.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'I know exactly what I'm talking about. He knows more than anyone wants to give him credit for. Perfectly capable of making his own decisions and quite well, as a matter of fact. He doesn't need you or anyone else telling him how to live or what to do with his life.'
Bringing her arms up, Ashlynn crossed them at her chest, not backing down in the slightest. A soft smile returned to the face of Ricky, Ashlynn's words bringing his mood back up.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'Just leave it alone. He went through alottabit to get this all set up. Enjoy it. Have a drink. Swim. Eat. Just..leave it alone.'
She turned around, hooking her arm in Ricky's. Nodding his head, Ricky's smile grew as he and Ashlynn walked off together towards that pool. Alessa shook her head as she turned to look at Bobby who simply shrugged his shoulders.
Alessa Holloway: 'Hmm..'
Bobby laughed out, shaking his head as he began taking the food off of the grill, placing it onto serving platters.
Big Ass Bobby: 'Really don't like it when you hmm.'
Alessa Holloway: 'It's okay, I'll leave it alone..for now.'
Bobby sighed out, shaking his head but before he could speak up, Alessa grabbed him by the arm, leading him over towards the pool, a smile on her face.
-------------------------------------------------------------
'Ricky..FUCK..don't stop!'
'Holy..fuckk, I won't!'
In the backseat of that car, Ricky Rodriguez and Ashlynn Cassidy clearly needed a moment before going into that club for their night out. Her already short dress hiked up and his pants down around his ankles, anyone walking past that car knew exactly what was going on. Their sounds of pleasure filled the air as Ashlynn rocked her hips with everything she had in her, Ricky matching her movements.
Ashlynn buried her head in Ricky's neck, biting roughly into his flesh to muffle her moans as her orgasm hit. Her hips went into overdrive as she pushed Ricky to his own, his own moans deepening into a low growl as he finished inside of her. The two leaned against one another, struggling to regain their breath, completely and totally lost in that moment.
Not just that moment but a few more after. Once composure was recovered, Ashlynn climbed off of him, fixing her dress as Ricky got his pants back up. Another deep kiss shared between the two, they finally decided it was time to head inside, an entirely different type of fun to be had.
'Y'know..I don't think people know exactly how serious I take all of this. They look at me and they see this childish, immature, and naive kinda guy. And, sure I may be those things, unapologetically at that, but that doesn't mean I don't take this seriously..cause I do. I've worked..so hard to get where I am. I put my everythin into my wrestlin career.
I'm workin a number of different promotions: FCW, Zion Wrestlin, Liberty, PHW. Now, don't get me wrong, some of'em are on hiatus for the moment but that doesn't mean I'm just sittin on my ass, waitin. I'm gonna be apart of the upcomin Grapzilla versus MechaGrapzilla event brought to you by The Keep Wrestling Academy and Elevated Creations. Ima be apart of Dark Net Production's Enter the Red Room event. I've got this match comin up for the TIA. The World Series of Wrestlin.
I can go on and on and on. I put myself out there. I do whatever I can to get myself seen. Whether or not people like what they see or not is their prerogative, but nobody can say I don't take this seriously. I'm in the gym every day..multiple times a day even. Which is why when I do go out? I make the most of it.'
Lights of various colors flickered on and off in a strobe effect. Electronic beats pulsated, filling the room with vibration and catchy rhythms. The drink was flowing. The smoke was..smoking? Bodies pressed against one another, moving with little to no inhibitions. Two of those individuals just so happened to be the pair of Ricky Rodriguez and Ashlynn Cassidy. To them, there was nobody else around, only themselves.
Their bodies moved against the other fluidly with the music, as if being driven by it. Sure, the alcohol and pot didn’t hinder the situation at all. Ricky’s hands rested against either side of Ashlynn’s waist, standing behind her as he did. Ash had a single arm brought up and wrapped around behind Ricky’s neck, his face buried in the crook of her neck.
Their closeness only intensified as Ashlynn pushed her ass back into Ricky's crotch, grinding it against him. As she did this, the two continued to let their bodies be moved by the music. After a few more moments, the song ended and Ashlynn turned to face Ricky, the two of them embracing one another passionately. Their kiss lingered as Ashlynn pulled back, biting at Ricky's lower lip as she did.
'Holy..shit.'
Ashlynn couldn't help but to smirk deviously as those two words left Ricky's lips, clearly proud of herself.
'Drinks?'
'Of course, anythin for you.'
Ricky smiled, nodding his head. They shared another kiss, albeit a brief one this time, as Ashlynn turned to head towards a table, Ricky sharply smacking her ass which caused her to shake it rather teasingly while she walked off. Laughing out, he bit down onto his lower lip and headed towards the bar.
'The Five Star Match. What's possibly the single biggest match of my whole ass career. Myself..Joseph Montuori, Tempest, John Cable, and Dionysus. The five of us will walk into this match and ain't but one of us gonna walk out with that championship raised high above our head.
Look at those names. Personal feelins aside, those are four of the biggest, most renowned names in this entire business. And then there's me. I'm not gonna lie..they all know it. I'm the odd man out. I am the least accomplished outta the bunch. I have the least experience. The least knowledge of this business and how it truly is. Now, you hear somethin like that..they see my name..and the thought is instant..
Well, we know who ain't winnin.
But me? I hear somethin like that? And my thought is instant. I need this more than they do. Any one of them win and oh, justa nother accomplishment to add to an already packed list. But for me? This is a career definin match. This can be that match for me. It's my turn now.
See..I've hadda lotta big matches but each and every time..I hit that fuckin ceilin. Like fuckin neck all bent up and everythin. But this match..this match..is where I tear through that fuckin ceilin like my name is Charlie or Willy. Not Grandpa Joe tho, fuck Grandpa Joe.'
Ricky chuckled to himself as he stood at the bar. Once the bartender noticed him, he ordered a round of drinks for himself and Ashlynn to enjoy. As that bartender started making those drinks, Ricky continued on with his thoughts.
'Stack me up side by side with any of'em and the career differences will be fuckin astoundin. But when that bell rings. All those accomplishments don't mean shit. Once that bell rings, you will get the best goddamn Ricky Rodriguez there is. I don't bring a laundry list of accomplishments but what I do bring?
Enough fight and enough heart to put any goddamn one of'em on their ass. I'm like a damn whirlwind in there, just zippin around here and there, bouncin from corner to corner. Like a fuckin pinball, man. That's the kinda energy I bring.
And worse comes to worse, I get caught. I ain't the biggest guy in the world, not at all. So, when I get caught..I'm gonna get the shit kicked outta me. Ima get thrown around. Slammed on that hard ass canvas. It's gonna hurt like hell. But that's another thing I'm bringin. You can knock me down, throw me around or whatever. But I won't stay down. Each and every time..I'll get back up.
Not only will I get back up every time..I'll be better than I was when you knocked me down. And eventually..all that gettin knocked down just to get back up again? It's gonna be enough for me to knock you down. To throw you around. To bounce off of those ropes, fly through the air and catch your head..spikin it into the same damn canvas you slammed me on.'
Those drinks were finished and set on the counter. Grabbing them up, Ricky made his way through the crowd of people before finally getting back to the table where Ash was sitting. Giving her the drink, he sat next to her, feeling her leaning against him. A sigh of content rolled free from Ricky before Ash spoke up, asking a question.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'Thinking about the match?'
Ricky laughed out, thinking just how funny it was how easily she was able to read him, even despite not saying anything about it. He nodded his head before looking down at the liquid inside of his glass.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'For the most part, Ima just go in there and handle my business.'
As soon as that last word came out, he brought his head up to look at her with a smile.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'For the most part.
She turned her head to look at him, knowing exactly what he meant.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'It's gonna happen. There's just been too much that's gone down. Ima set his ass straight when we step in there. He's gonna see just how much I've grown.'
A soft sigh rolled free as she slowly nodded her head. She knew the history Ricky had with Joe and after their most recent altercation, she knew the two were going to go at it. Even still, she wanted to look out for him and to make sure he didn't get in too deep with it.
Ashlynn Cassidy: 'Just don't let him get in your head. You know the game he plays and how he plays it. Keep it physical and you'll do amazinly. You're faster, more responsive, not a gaslightin, thinks he can buy people, piece of shit. Don't even worry about Joe.'
Ricky grew the biggest smile as those words spoken by Ashlynn really sank in. Nodding his head, he took another drink, Ashlynn doing the same. They eventually finished those drinks as the night went on. Really enjoying their time together, it was finally time to head out so the establishment could close up. The two got up from that table, carefully of course, and made their way to the exit to meet the Uber they so responsibly set up.
'I can't really say what's gonna happen, nottabit at all. But I have the confidence in myself to know that I have everythin I need to come outta this on top, that championship held high above my head.
Confidence..not arrogance. Do I believe that I'm better than any other person in this match? No. Do I believe I have what it takes to beat any other person in this match?
Fuck yeah, I do.
Am I sayin Ima take this blindfolded with both hands tied behind my back? No. Am I sayin I got just as good a chance as any one of those others to take the gold in this match?
Fuck yeah..I do.'
The pair pushed through those doors and stepped out into the cool night air. That car was ready and waiting to pick the intoxicated couple up and that is, how they say, is that.
The sun was shining brightly overhead and a warmth enough to prove winter was all but forgotten at this point. Perfect weather for a poolside barbecue. But you couldn't just have one like that for no reason. Luckily, there was a reason!
