[The hall of fame is a place that everyone in their profession wants to end up. The cream of the crop. One of the best at what they do. Maybe you have a record, maybe you don't. Maybe you have multiple awards, maybe you don't. Maybe you won a championship, maybe you didn't. But at the end of the day, if you get into the Hall of Fame, you are someone that is etched in history and no one can take that away from you.]
[Which is the path that J Mont is trying to carve out in his career. Who knows how many years let alone matches he has left in the tank. Standing tall at 42 years of age, this year has been one of his finest years. Seems like J Mont is like a fine wine, and getting better with age. Or maybe it's feeling rejuvenated with Baby G Mont and Mia around. And having something to truly strive for. Whatever the case may be, J Mont wants to be in the Hall of Fame and knows when that day comes, his number will be called.]
[J Mont calls himself the King of New York and he knows that pisses a lot of people off. Almost sounds like he is in competition with rappers 50 Cent and Six Nine for the title, but if you look in the history books of New York, there are plenty of people who could claim that title. But it's a title J Mont has defended for over the last 20 years. Sure there have been some hiccups and lost battles, but he has come back from them and made some amazing statements. Now, when it comes to reppin New York, and making a name for himself, J Mont has a list of guys who have made the Hall of Fame with some kind of tie to New York.]
[One day, he wants to add his name to the list that includes Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Joe Torre, Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Whitey Ford, Phil Rizzuto, and Yogi Berra of the Yankees. Then he also has Willis Reed, Earl Monroe, Bernard King, Dick McGuire, Dave DeBusschere, and Patrick Ewing of the Knicks. Then you have some outsiders from those organizations like Michael Strahan, Tom Seaver, Willie Mays and Jackie Robinson. All amazing names that have done a lot for the sport and community. Another name that will be added to that list when the time comes will be J Mont. What he has done for the sport has paved the way for the future. He has given the term “HEEL” a new definition and has shown the younger generation that when you want something, go get it. But, it's not all about what you do inside the ring. Outside the ring, J Mont has done so much for the Make A Wish Foundations, donations to a variety of charities as well as building hospitals and homes for the less fortunate.]
[Some would beg the differ and say J Mont is the biggest asshole in today's wrestling society and he has no place in the Hall of Fame. But whoever is thinking that is just jealous that their name is nowhere near being selected for an honor like this. Many people go after J Mont to get some recognition, attention, clout and a paycheck. J Mont can leave his calendar open all 365 days and before you know it, it's booked solid with no breathing room. A prime example is to finish out December, he has a big PWE PPV Match against Enigma. Pretty much just a warm up match before J Mont’s next opponent is announced. Or should I say, the one that he is going to hand pick because he has a contract that states he gets to pick his next title match. Everyone is under the assumption he wants a rematch with Jason Long for the Impulse Title, but what they all fail to realize is that J Mont is past that. Before that match started, J Mont was made aware of the Call Your Shot Tournament but he was not allowed to enter. Just another way to stop him from getting a chance at the Excellence Championship. So, J Mont sat back and regrouped, talked a little with LCP and the game plan was in place. Put on a good show, but make sure the Title doesn't leave with him. The day after J Mont lost the title at the Tara Fenix Charity Cruise, he signed up for the Call Your Shot which was signed off by LCP and you know what happens next don't you? J Mont coasts through the tournament and now hopes to get his rematch with Allen Chaney for the Excellence Championship as long as he can get past Issak Otto. J Mont doesn't want Otto, he wants Chaney. And then the IIW has been dodging J Mont with his match demands to face John Cavanagh for the World Title. Holding the International Title there which is right below the World since September and still undefeated, J Mont figured he was next in line. But upper management loves the ones that suck their dick and eat their assholes. Something J Mont will never do. So, once again, he has to enter a rumble type match. But this time, it's a 30 man rumble called the Ice Crown Championship where the winner goes on to face the World Champ at a date they decide to pick. Sounds like Groundhogs Day if you ask me for J Mont. Instead of going through a few matches to get what he wants, this time he needs to go through 29 other douchebags in order to get what he wants. And to top it off, he drew number 3 so, if he wants to win this, he will have to stick around for most of the night. Get your popcorn and drinks ready because J Mont is going to pull an all nighter till he gets the last person out of that ring so he can go on to face John Cavanagh. And then go over to the WGWF and he has a last man standing match with Mac Bane. A match where Bane wants revenge on a prior loss and one where J Mont can stand out again in the World Title Scene. It's going to be hard to get into the title picture because of James Raven’s hate for J Mont and J Mont’s mouth about Raven and his wife. But another win over Bane should have J Mont in the title scene there as well. And let's not forget Chris Page asked J Mont to go over to The Entity with him to get the tag titles there. Facing off against Austin and Todrick Tabor Ramsey, 2 of J Mont’s best friends in the world. So add a little emotion to his list of things to do as well. It’s a FULL HOUSE for J MONT and there is no Danny Tanner to clean things up.]
[What does all of this mean for anyone who cares or follows J Mont? Just another reason that this man belongs in the Hall of Fame. He is doing what most can't or won't do. FIGHT anyone, at any time and any place. From Barcelona to Utah to New York. Time zones are second nature to J Mont. You book him, he is going to show up, get the job done and make you some good money along the way. The Hall of Fame is just the last piece of his book to make it complete. Everyone thought a wife and a baby would never be in his cards but they are now. So all that is left missing is that Hall of Fame call and then call it Mission Complete. Fuck you Tom Cruise, there will be no Mission Impossible in the life of J Mont.]
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
4 PENNSYLVANIA PLAZA
NEW YORK, NY 10001
212-465-6741
CAPACITY: 20,789
[This is like a second home for J Mont and there is no other place he can see himself getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. To have his name hung in the rafters with the likes of Bill Russell, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Willis Reed, Patrick Ewing, Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Mark Messier, Henrik Lundquist, and Mike Richter. And that's not to count all the Championships the Knicks and Rangers have won there as well. A lot of rich history here and it only seems fitting that J Mont is the cherry on the top of this sundae.]
[Fast forward past all the traffic to get there as well as the grand entrance of J Mont with Mia and Baby G Mont. Things pick up inside Madison Square Garden and tonight is a special night that only a man with millions of dollars could plan out. Inside the arena, it's a packed house. Not a seat is open. And the best seats in the house are always the front row and they are occupied by Jake and Logan Paul. Beyonce and Jay Z. Dr Dre and Eminem. Spike Lee and Whoopi Goldberg. Mark Cuban and Elon Musk. Jeff Bezos and 50 Cent. Jon Bones Jones and Jorge Masvidal. Dana White and Conor McGregor. And the list goes on. While the New York Knicks have the night off, the court itself is being used. The big Jumbotron above center court is flashing the letters JKO on all 4 sides. There is a podium set up with a red carpet that leads from the tunnel where the players usually run out from at the center court. And in front of the podium is 2 rows of chairs totalling 20 for the special VIP Guests.]
Announcer: Ladies and Gentleman, please rise as we are here tonight on this special occasion to induct a once in a lifetime generational talent to the Hall of Fame. But first, let's bring out the special guests that are an important part of the life of this man.
[From the tunnel, one by one they start to walk out to a standing ovation. Too bad the Knicks have not heard cheers like this in weeks. You have Vhodka and Vincent Black. Candice and Chris Page. Austin and Todrick Ramsey. Paul and Michelle Riggs. Ricky Rodriguez and some whore with blonde hair no one has ever seen before. Lewis Chad and Ophelia Pinkston. Denzel Porter followed by Bam Miller, Kal X Wolf, and Brandon Moore. Shawn Stevens and Tom Sinnery from the original Focus Stable. And the last one to take a seat, Harvey Marx. There are a lot of special people in the life of this man, but there was limited seating on the court. For the ones not sitting there, don't get your panties in a knot. You're still special.]
THE LIGHTS SHUT OFF
[The fans are cheering, you see cell phone cameras on. A few lighters in the air. The Jumbotron is still flashing JKO.]
Announcer: And it's timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Let's give a standing ovation to the man that has won 30 world titles and over 300 wins in his career and is still going strong 20 years later. Being accompanied by his future wife and daughter. Hailing from the Bronx, NY.
[The chants are getting louder. The announcer is almost getting overtaken by the fans.]
Announcer: Without further adieu. Let’s bring out J Mont, Mia and Baby G Mont!
[And down the red carpet they go and what do you know? The 3 of them are matching head to toe in GUCCI. They are wearing tan pants with the green and red Gucci colors down the side. Then a matching Gucci sweatshirt in tan with the red and green colors down the middle. And of course the Gucci sneakers as well. Only difference is J Mont is sporting a 11 pound Miami Cuban Chain and a Rolex Platinum All Diamond Presidential. And while Mia doesn't have the chain or watch, she does have the ring that even the people in the nose bleed can't miss. Mis is sporting her 18 Carat diamond ring as she is soon to be Mia Mont. As they strut their stuff down the red carpet like the billion dollar family, they stop by the center where all the special guests are. A lot of hugs, kisses, handshakes and hugs are exchanged. FInally, they make their way to the podium. J Mont, standing there like he is the president of the United States flanked by Mia holding Baby G Mont. And then a chant breaks out.]
BABY G MONT!!! BABY G MONT!!! BABY G MONT!!!
[PAUSE.]
MIA MONT!!! MIA MONT!!! MIA MONT!!!
[PAUSE.]
JKO!!! JKO!!! JKO!!! YOU DESERVE IT!!!
[J Mont is taking in all the love and seems pretty shocked at the outpour he is receiving.]
J Mont: I want to thank you all for coming tonight. I know this was put together at the last minute but I want to thank the Dolan Family for letting me use The Garden tonight for this event. Remember, that all purchases and ticket sales will be going to local Children Homes and Hospitals. And tonight's a night I truly didn't think would ever happen. Back in the day, I never thought about the Hall of Fame. All I thought about was being a true ASSHOLE and making sure that everyone knew my name and didn't forget it. Well that is today too, but i'm not as bad. I just wanted to win a World Title, then get with my FOCUS boys and raise hell, and shut the fed down and go on to the next. But one day, I woke up and said it’s time for a change. Time to do things on my own and do it my way. Answer to no one but myself. I decided to take a break from wrestling and do my own thing in the real world. I made more money than most people here, except for that front row over there. But I started to miss the battle in the ring. I came back with a new version of FOCUS and we ran the show for a while and then all went our separate ways. And since then, it's been the REIGN OF J MONT and every month, it just gets better and better. I guess I need to stop rambling about the past and get to the present. I am here tonight to thank you all for your support in me and all your words to say J Mont belongs in the Hall of Fame.
[J Mont gives Mia a kiss. He needed to take a break for a minute because he feels himself just running his mouth and not making sense in his head. This is really getting to him in a good way.]
J Mont: I know we have some special guests that couldn't be here tonight, and I'm truly excited to see who they are and what they have to say. So, let’s take a look at the Jumbotron and see who is the first person.
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
LEWIS CHAD PINKSTON
[J Mont looks over at LCP who is laughing. Another man who loves the spotlight just as much as J Mont does.]
“Yo yo yo! It’s everyone’s most favoritest wrestling personality of all time. The one, the only, the man with a plan. Me…LEWIS CHAD PINKSTON!”
“Whaddup? Firstly I want to say how fucking stoked I was when I heard about Joeseph. The man is a walking, talking, breathing ATM to anyone that’s around him. He’s always put butts in the seats, and always made sure to bring it whenever there was something on the line. Whether it was a title, a woman, or even his pride.”
“I remember when I met young Joey. A little man on the rise.” A PA leans in. “He’s older than me?” They continue to lean in. “And had already been around for years before I met him? Well fuck me. This guy just doesn’t age.”
“Regardless, when I met him we both needed each other more than we thought. We both wanted something bigger. Something grander. We both wanted to take on the world. So that’s what we did. I was the brains and he was the brawn. We went together like shrimp and grits. Ham and burger.”
“As a matter of fact…. Why is this…No. No. No. Lew, this is about him.”
“Joe should be in the Hall of Fame. Joe needs to be in the Hall of Fame. If not for his multiple titles, but for his never repenting attitude. For his sheer Will power. Plus he’s gotta get in there before Paul, right?”
[The Jumbotron shuts off and the fans are laughing. You can see P Mont looking over at LCP who is smirking. LCP and J Mont have formed a bond over in the PWE and it's going to continue for a long time it looks like.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
DENZEL PORTER
[J Mont is just shaking his head as he feels like he is getting PUNK’D as Denzel is sitting right in front of him as well. Denzel pounds his chest twice as J Mont returns the favor.]
Denzel Porter: Yesterday I was asked a question that made me have to think real hard about, but after taking a day to gather my thoughts I am ready to answer the question whether or not Joe Montuori deserves to be in The Wrestling Hall Of Fame.
[Denzel sits up straight.]
Denzel Porter: The answer to that is yes he does and I can go all the way back to when he first started as a young prospect coming up in the business and he just had the look that many promoters look for in the star and then once he got in the ring he proved he was more than just looks. He showed the world countless times he could hang in the ring and catch the peoples eye but what he hasn't proved yet was whether or not he can be a Champion that can carry the company.
[Denzel Pauses.]
Denzel Porter: Well twenty years later he has won thirty world titles and has over three hundred wins during his career and has been part of some memorable rivalries. I think it is a crime and a black mark on the Wrestling Hall Of Fame to not induct Joe Montuori, I think his resume speaks for himself and anyone that's ever seen his work knows he deserves it. I hope what I say is enough to get to him because I really believe he’s a Hall of Famer.
[J Mont loves the respect from Denzel and is trying to show him the same respect back as he was the chosen one by Denzel for the World Series of Wrestling. J Mont has made it to the final 16 and hopes to finish in the top 10 to make Denzel proud of his selection.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
FRED DEBONAIR
FRED DEBONAIR: “Do I think J Mont should be in the Hall of Fame? Of course I do… Why? Have you seen the way he raised Baby G-Mont? Yes I know this is about Wrestling but isn’t it also about character? Regardless, his titles and accolades will forever be evidence of why he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame! I mean have you seen what he’s done in his career?!
[Short and sweet and to the point. J Mont and Fred met about 6 months back thanks to CCPE and since then, been working well together and even had a few battles in the mix of all of that. So the words from Fred are well appreciated.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
MAC BANE
[The recording flickers to life to reveal Mac Bane, the sometimes friend, and enemy of Joe Montori. He gives a brief nod and studies his notecards one last time.]
“What makes a Hall of Famer? Titles? Longevity? None of those things in my mind apply. What matters to me is integrity, loyalty to our sport, and passion for the business. JMont has all of those qualities. Pound for pound, Joe is one of the most formidable competitors in our industry, period. I’ve fought by his side and we’ve stood across the ring for each other, we’ve bled together and made others bleed. His passion for wrestling is virtually unparalleled. He’s earned every accolade he’s ever received, we don’t always see eye to eye, but he has my respect.”
[J Mont points up to the Jumbotron to show respect back to Mac Bane. The 2 of them have a last man standing match coming up in the WGWF that has World Title Rankings involved. So, it looks like one of them is not going to get up. But tonight, the differences have been put aside for this special occasion.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
RICKEY RODRIGUEZ
[J Mont just starts to laugh now because it seems everyone that is here, is either too shit faced to speak or too scared to speak in front of all these famous people or tough New York fans.]
'Why do I think Joe is a Hall of Fame talent? Just look at the old guy. Championships in damn near every promotion he's ever been in. A truly larger than life persona. Alotta people turn it off when they're out the ring but Joe is always Joe. Just a once in a lifetime kinda talent.'
[Ricky stands up and starts to clap for J Mont, and everyone else starts to follow in suit. Mia hands over Baby G Mont who wants her dad to hold her. Standing there as a proud father and a man who everyone says is a Hall of Famer means the world to him.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
SAHARA DUKE
[J Mont’s eyes light up and even Mia seems a bit confused here as to how she got some airtime.]
"J-Mont? In the hall of fame?!"
[Sahara let out a snarky little laugh.]
"Yeah, sure... just make sure you let me know which hall of fame it is so I can deny them when they try to induct me."
[Letting the moment linger a little too long, Sahara curls her lip into a smirk.]
"Alright, all kidding aside, it's not much of a secret J-Mont and I have never quite seen eye to eye, but to pretend the man doesn't belong in the hall is insane. I kinda-sorta assumed he already was, so... if he's not in this hall of fame, then it's not much of a hall of fame. Oh, and say hi to his wife for me..."
[J Mont and Mia look at one another because it was a nice thing Sahara said, but also the ending reminded them of just who she is. This is a war that is far from over, but it was nice to see Sahara say a few kind words about one of her biggest enemies in the business.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
ASHLYNN CASSIDY
Ashlynn Cassidy: Why do I think he’s worthy of being in a Hall of Fame? Well first off, look at him, he has probably been at this shit for 20 years. In all seriousness, he’s been on top wherever he’s gone. In and out of a ring. This business follows him, love or hate him. Love or hate him, everyone who has met him respects what he’s accomplished in the ring. As a person? Some of us might have to dig a little deeper…Like Marianas Trench deep…
[Back to back women who don't like J Mont but took the time to show him some support with the Hall of Fame confidence. That has to tell you something. Like Ashlynn said, love or hate, everyone knows J Mont is one of the best to ever do this.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
XAVIER LUX
I haven't known J Mont for that long, but I have known of him for a long time.. I know he's one of the very first clients of "Chronic" Chris Page and one of the pillars of the CCPE, an enterprise I am very proud to be a member of. So for that alone the man deserves to be in the hall of fame as Chris Page only associates himself with winners and J-Mont is a winner. Wherever he goes, success follows as well as gold... I've recently joined IIW where he is currently their International Champion, undefeated too. That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone and I'm sure that is just the beginning of the many great things he will do in that promotion. So for those voting on the hall of fame, this is an easy decision for you. Don't pick him though, and you better keep your heads on a swivel, because he will be nearby to punt it off your shoulders.
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
LEXI GOLD
If anyone gets a prestigious spot into the Hall of Fame, it is Joe Montuori. Whether you loved him, or hated him you can't deny that he has done a lot for this business, especially when it comes to having some of the best matches out there which is admirable even for someone like me who feels there is always room for improvement. I hope to one day share the ring with Joe out of respect, but until then I'd love to see him get the recognition he deserves.
[Mia starts clapping before J Mont because she is a big fan of Lexi’s. J Mont starts to throw Baby G Mont up and down, as she starts to show that cute smile she has with her little dimples. J Mont feels on top of the world right now.]
[The Jumbotron lights up with the name……..]
FOCUS
[You then see some clips of one of the baddest stables ever formed back in the day. J Mont, Smoked Shawn Stevens, Jason Jarrett, Tom Sinnery, Cam Vincent, Corey Bradley and Tommy Shadez. That was the original group, but there were other versions out there which included Bud Burns, Brandon Moore, P Mont, Candice “Voodoo” Wolf, Vincent Black, Stephen Stratford, Miss Michelle, Johnny Extreme, and a few others. Clips and small video packages show total dominance inside the ring.]
J Mont: Just WOW! I do not know what to say right now. All of this was so unexpected to be honest. I figured I would come out here, talk a little and here you guys cheer and boo for me, then leave with my family. But instead, this has truly turned into an amazing evening and I hope one day, for everyone sitting in front of me, I can witness this for you as well. I feel like being in the Hall Of Fame completes my resume as one of the best. I did not want to end up like Pete Rose and known as one of the best hitters of all time, but not in the Hall of Fame because of some gambling stuff he got caught up in. All the matches and titles I won, as well as the records and everything else achieved would have been worthless without the Hall of Fame.
[J Mont holds up Baby G Mont for everyone to see.]
J Mont: My daughter right here. This is why I do everything I do. I know she has no idea what is going on right now, but when she gets older, she will get a chance to look back and see that her father was the real deal. Gia and Mia are my real championships and the loves of my life. With or without the Hall of Fame to be honest, I feel like I won anyway because I have these 2 in my life. Sometimes, as Mia tells me all the time, you have to sit back and think about what you are going to do or say before you do it. I am truly working on that part of my life because I got a big ass mouth that I like to run til someone shuts me up. But I want to thank everyone that took the time to say some kind words about me being in the Hall of Fame. I think out of everyone, the biggest shock had to be SAHARA. I never thought in a million years she would even take time out of her schedule to say something nice about me. Now don't get me wrong, she still has some payback coming, but I just gained a little more respect for her. And then LCP, Denzel and Ricky think they are slick by sitting in front of me and having some video packages air. Good job guys and by the way Ricky, who is the flavor of the week with you? Is that Allison Riggs Preston?
[The fans start a chant.]
RICKY AND ALLIE!!!!!!!!! RICKY AND ALLIE!!!!!!!!!!
J Mont: Hey Ricky, the best part is that Amazon delivers on Sundays and holidays. I know first hand.
[Mia smacks J Mont in the back because she knows what he meant by that.]
J Mont: And I want to thank everyone that came here today to support me. So, when you leave, there will be tickets for the WGWF, PWE, IIW, THE ENTITY, CCPE VS THE WORLD, AND THE DENZEL PORTER INVITATIONAL. 2 tickets per person please. And for the special ones sitting on the center court with me and the celebs in the first row, I have booked the whole SOHO HOUSE for us to party it up the rest of the night like rockstars. Man, that sounded like Toddy took my voice over for a minute. They say it's for members only and guess what? Money talks and members walk. It’s our club tonight.
[Everyone is on their feet now. J Mont takes a bow as Mia is holding Baby G Mont. What a big night as the Hall of Fame just got one of the biggest Heels in the game enriched into the special family that only so many people get the chance of making. And you know what J Mont is thinking as he listens to all the cheers.]
In The Mind Of J Mont: This is only going to last the night because once I walk down the ramp Monday night in the WGWF, the same fans cheering are going to be booing. And that also goes for the PWE PPV and the IIW Ice Crown Rumble.
[But J Mont doesn't let his thoughts ruin this evening. He grabs the hand of Mia and starts to walk down the red carpet again and towards the back. Before he disappears totally to the back, he turns around and raises his hand up to everyone. The Jumbotron lights up and says……]
J MONT IN THE HALL OF FAME?
WHY THE HELL NOT!
[And if you don't agree with J Mont getting into the Hall of Fame, then do something about it because J Mont is not a hard man to find. If you got a problem with it, step up or shut the fuck up. Because right now, the end of 2022 is approaching and J Mont is going to finish the year on FIRE and enter 2023 as a favorite for wrestler of the year right off the bat. Sounds like another accolade for the resume. But just remember this, many have tried to shut up J Mont, but no one has been successful enough to permanently do it for the last 20 years. That right there, makes J Mont a hands down Hall of Famer.]
“IN THE END, IT’S NOT THE YEARS IN YOUR LIFE THAT COUNT. IT’S THE LIFE IN YOUR YEARS.”
