RING ENTRANCE
Entrance Description (250 words max):
Serene white smoke begins billowing out into an empty, black space. A slow rhythmic beat of music is low in the mix, but there nonetheless, edging closer and louder as the smoke continues to build.
Static cuts through the screen and a fragmented polaroid image of a woman appears briefly. The image seems degraded, or saturated, and the only color that comes through is the stark pillarbox red stains her full, snarling, lips. Another person flickers into the shot. What stands out in this person is their striking gray eyes. Yet, before you know it, they dissipate into the blackness.
More imagery begins to appear as the music starts building. A butcher’s knife crashing into uncooked red flesh, a marionette who’s eyes are crossed through dancing with a haunting asynchronous cadence to the almost deafening sound. And, finally, a chess board. A black and white butterfly flutters through the chaos, landing on one of the twisted and macabre chess pieces.
A large hand with an angel’s wing tattooed delicately in its purlicue reaches across and takes a pawn into it’s possession. Another more feminine hand enters the frame and rests on top of the first hand, as the pawn is guided into its new position.
“TURN IT OFF! TURN IT OFF! TURN IT–”
A screech scatters across the sound system, as the lights rise and in the center of the ring stands a slender and sinister pale man, smoke curling and lapping at his knees and all around the ring.

STORY
Biography (500 word max):
Stephen Stratford is an Australian-born naturalised American who came to New Orleans in his teen years to chase the American Dream.
As a pro-wrestler, he quickly realised that he had a unique perspective on the game and a way to make his smaller frame work for him among a sea of giants. He tangled consistently with long-forgotten legends that were far larger than him with reasonable success, but in his original run he is perhaps most remembered for an infamous incident in an organisation called WfnW where he had been working with Bryan Dyamond under the leadership of a mysterious woman named The Queen. Their team had been engaged in a war with a group called Uncivilized, which comprised of the legendary Kal X Wolf and Damon Riggs. During one show, whilst Stratford and Dyamond were in the ring competing, Riggs cornered The Queen in the back and delivered a beating so brutal that the lines of story and reality were blurred. This would be the last time either Stratford or his wife appeared in a wrestling ring.
Until June 2020, when a very different-looking man, referring to himself as ‘Id’, appeared in Outlaw Pro Wrestling after a mysterious HBO Producer signed him to the organisation and started placing him in high profile matches. ‘Id’ arrived a month or so following the grand unveiling of the returning Damon “HavoK” Riggs. Id incapacitated Damon Riggs with a baseball bat that had once belonged to Bryan Dyamond but now belonged to Riggs, and as Id choked Damon Riggs to unconsciousness, he asked Riggs if he remembered him.
A few months later, at Stairway 2 Heaven, it appeared to most that Stratford was going to cause an upset and take the Immortal Championship when the majority of experts would agree that Xavier Wolf - younger brother of the aforementioned Kal X Wolf - was a strong favourite. Stratford and Wolf reached the top of the ladder at the same time, and both had their hands on the belt as it unhooked itself from the ceiling. As the two men fell through the air, it would be Xavier Wolf who was successful.
With Xavier Wolf now the figurehead of the Wolf/Riggs “Pack”, Stratford’s work began to overthrow them at any cost. Knowing the lengths this ‘family’ would go to maintain dominance of the wrestling world, Stephen and his wife started putting pieces in place that would change his adversary forever. Prior to their rematch, Stratford sent out manila envelopes to Xavier’s adopted father, Thomas Marke. The contents of this envelope would allow Marke to frame his sister, Sarah Wolf, for first-degree murder, and completely shatter trust between Xavier and the person closest to him.
Not long after, Stratford disappeared with the end of OPW, and did not re-emerge until June 2022 when he did so in Level Up Wrestling. Whilst his motive remains largely unclear, he has already shown his willingness to blur boundaries in the name of leveraging his opponents into uncomfortable situations.
PERSONALITY
Heel, Face, or Tweener: Circumstantial. Currently heel.
